A successful steal is a complete round trip, not simply touching a valuable seed. Scout a reachable garden, plan the exit before committing, clear the guarded area with the seed, and return it to an open planting space before starting another raid.
Visible garden recommendations and server traffic can change the safest route, so recheck them on every attempt.
Judge the target and the journey home as one task. A seed that is easy to touch but difficult to carry out is not yet a reliable target.
Read the recommendation shown near the garden and compare it with your recent runs. Start with a garden you can enter, cross, and leave consistently instead of treating the highest visible target as the default choice.
Confirm that your planting area has room for the stolen seed. Bringing a seed home without a clear planting decision creates a new bottleneck and can force a rushed replacement.
Once you take the seed, stop browsing for a second prize. Your only objective is to leave the guarded area while keeping control of the current seed.
